The announcement was made with Sony introducing both of their smartphone Sony Xperia Go and Sony Xperia Acro S that suits user that have an active lifestyle. The display for the new Sony Xperia Go is LED-backlit LCD with Scratch-resistant glass, Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine and IP67 certified – dust and water proof (up to 1m for 30 mins). It will come in White, Black, Yellow and only 3.5 inches in size with weight only 110 g. Sony is promoting the new Sony Xperia GO as a quality handset that can definitely be proud of because it’s rugged and is completely waterproof and dust proof.
The main camera for Sony Xperia Go is 5 MP with autofocus, LED flash and it doesn’t have a secondary camera at front. The camera features Geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection and 3D sweep panorama. It will run on Android OS, v2.3 (Gingerbread), planned upgrade to v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and it will be powered by Dual-core 1 GHz Cortex-A9 NovaThor U8500 processor.
The internal storage for Sony Xperia Go is 8 GB storage (4 GB user available), 512 MB RAM and card slot microSD is expendable up to 32 GB.
